First thing’s first. Let me introduce myself. Hello! Nice to meet you, I’m Rachel. Welcome to my book review blog! I’m 25 years old, living in North Carolina with my husband and our dog.
My Love of Reading Begins
I’ve always been a reader. Not to brag, but I’m an early bloomer academically, and as soon as my mom taught me how to read, I was hooked. I would devour book after book, reading everything I could get my tiny hands on.
My dad raised me watching Star Wars, listening to the Harry Potter audio books (the ones read by Jim Dale, which are great), and all around exposing me to all things sci fi and fantasy, so it was only natural for me to fall in love with them.
As I grew, I never fell out of love with science fiction and fantasy. I did have the occasional book slump, but they never lasted too long.
An Idea Hits
Earlier this year, I had an idea: I should start a blog. But what in the world was I going to blog about? Then it hit me. I had recently gotten out of a massive book slump and was reading more than ever thanks to the purchase of a Kindle. I was reading anyway, why not write reviews on what I was reading.
So that’s what I decided to do. I started this blog, and am going to be posting book reviews here, along with any other book related things I feel like. I hope to see you again soon!
